Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, who continues treatment for cancer, appeared in public for the first time in a long time.

Middleton, who is undergoing chemotherapy, took part in the solemn ceremony of Trooping the Color, dedicated to the official birthday of the King of Great Britain, Charles III. Along with other members of the royal family, the princess stepped onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace, accompanied by her children and her husband, Prince William. It was her first public appearance since announcing her cancer diagnosis following abdominal surgery in January. Before her appearance, Princess Kate posted a touching personal message in which she expressed her gratitude for the support and talked about her treatment. She noted that the treatment will continue for several more months.

«I have been deeply touched by your kind words and support over the past few months. It really made a difference in our lives with William and helped us get through the hard times. As anyone going through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days. On bad days, you feel weak and tired, and you need to give your body a rest. But on good days, when you feel better, you want to use this time to the maximum», - she wrote. «I am learning to be patient, especially in conditions of uncertainty. I take each day as it is, listen to my body and allow myself time to heal» , - Middleton added.

Princess Kate last appeared in public more than five months ago, when Kensington Palace released a video message in which she announced her diagnosis. In mid-January, she underwent a planned operation on the abdominal cavity, after which doctors discovered a malignant tumor.
